Riga International Airport Winning Proposal / Haptic Architects

Haptic Architects, in collaboration with Narud Stokke Wiig Architects & Planners, and Griff Arkitektur recently won the open international competition for the new airbaltic terminal at International Airport in Latvia. Metro-Station Entrances for Donostialdea / Snøhetta Studio

Chosen as the winning proposal among seven other competition finalists, the “Vamos” project is a design for Donostialdea metro-station entrances. It is promoted by the Basque Government and is currently in the drafting stage of the construction process. The aim of the competition was to deliver a design that will attract the attention of users of the future suburban transit system and help those residing in the areas it serves to easily identify it. Fecomércio Complex Proposal / Estúdio 41

Man transforms the environment, interferes with nature producing spaces that harbor their daily activities. This is done by provoking change,building objects, and inserting devises into the the natural environment. This intervention, a design by Estúdio 41, suggests a reflection on the relationship between nature and artifice, proposing buildings that build: artifacts and landscape, cover and relief, shelter and open space. As the 1st place prize winner, their design creates a place where working means life quality, surrounded by leisure facilities, designed for outdoors experience.
