Vennesla Library and Culture House / Helen & Hard

I’m reminded of Aalto’s work when I see the interior expression of strucutre in this new library by  Helen & Hard in , Norway. The project links an existing community house and learning center, and seeks to become an extension of the main city square with its transparent facade and urban loggia.   The expressive ribs combine structure, technical infrastructure, and functionality into one architectonic element that creates a dynamic aesthetic identity for the project to meet the client’s original intent to mark the city’s cultural center.

Eco-Cube Proposal / A-lab

A-lab is currently working on a design proposal for an eco-cube for the UNION group which will be a pilot project for A-lab’s eco-BIM technology.

The Økern area of  faces significant changes in the near future and is being developed as a new destination in the city. The new Økern center brings shopping, culture and housing to the area. Lørenveien 68 will function as a broker between the new Økern center and Løren’s established residential area. via Archdaily
